Camilla Molders Design was thrilled to reimagine the study of Como House, a modest-sized room that was once used as the main bedroom. Their design focused on reimagining how Carolyn Armytage – the matriarch of Como House (1847-1892) would utilise such a room today.

A bohemian and eclectic interior was the brief given for this project. Layers of beautiful textiles, patterns and colours were used extensively in this home to create unique and stunning living spaces.
Once a tired townhouse with shag pile carpet, yellow bottle glass doors and wallpaper Camilla Molders Design has been working room by room with their client to bring this townhouse interior design into the modern-day.

Moody blue tones and sumptuous textiles get people talking in this sitting room and were used here to balance the existing rich red parquetry floors. A large area rug was custom designed for space with a cymatic inspired pattern upon, which in turn created a subtle theme of movement and energy in the space – carried through with the selection of the photographic art of rolling waves, and the vibrant upholstery fabrics.
The client had a clear idea of how she wanted to feel in her space. The original dark red walls that were inherited with the house just didn’t meet the brief of light, inviting and refreshing room.
Nestled amongst the coastal bushland of Aireys Inlet on Victoria’s South Coast, the interior decoration of this weekender home was designed to capitalise on the bush views, creating a tranquil retreat.
Camilla Molders Design creates spaces which not only surprise but are also a delight, that push design boundaries while balancing functionality with aesthetics and focus on fine detailing and exceptional craftsmanship.
